Ecumenical Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for Archivists
You are invited to the Annual Ecumenical Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving for Archivists. The service will be held at Pilgrim Uniting Church 12 Flinders St on Wednesday 20 February 2019 beginning at 9.30am. After the service there will be an address on the theme, “Reading a Building” followed by morning tea. The service involves members of the State Branch of the Australian Society of Archivists (https://www.archivists.org.au/). All interested in South Australian church history are invited. This is a great opportunity to meet up with others who are committed to documenting and recording the story of faith in this state, the Paradise of Dissent!

Visit the History Centre and meet the staff and volunteers who look after it. View the wide collection and the stories that relate to it. Meet other people interested in the history of the Uniting Church, and our preceding denominations.
2:00pm: Welcome and some general remarks
4:00pm: Afternoon tea with the staff and members of Council

Port Adelaide Uniting SA Centenary Celebrations
Celebrate 100 years of service to the Port Adelaide and the wider SA community by the Port Adelaide Methodist Central Mission now known as Uniting SA. It will be an all-day forum with the theme, Together we can: Building Stronger Communities, reflecting on the way we learn from history and respond to the changes that occur in local and wider social contexts. The story and work of the Mission and Uniting SA will feature mainly in the morning sessions.
