A FOCUS ON PRINCE ALFRED COLLEGE

The Historical Society of the Uniting Church invites you to attend

a presentation by Ron Gibbs AM entitled
Two Wesleyan headmasters at Prince Alfred College, 1871 – 1914: their impact on school, church and society

John Hartley and Frederick Chapple were headmasters of PAC in a highly formative period for the school.  But they had a much wider significance: both had important roles in South Australian public life through the positions they held and the influence they had as churchmen.  Their decision to accept a position in colonial South Australia was in some respects a strange one, but the colony received the benefit of having two grand representatives of Victorian Britain to contribute to its progress.

The presentation will be held at Prince Alfred College

Parking is available in the grounds – enter from Parade West.
